Stewardship , according to Webster, is " the conducting, supervising, or managing of something; especially : the careful and responsible management of something entrusted to one's care"

As people, we have many things entrusted to us. Individually we have jobs, wealth, our souls, ministries/vocations, children and households. As a community we have our city, church, parks and landmarks. As a part of humanity we have a global environment. At Holy Apostles we are always striving to become better stewards of what we have.

Environment

We are always looking for way we can be better stewards of the creation which we have been entrusted. the church periodically has cleanup days. You can find ways we are caring for our environment here, on the church calendar and the homepage.
Tithing and Treasury

The general support of the church and its ministries comes from the community.

Some definitions:
A “tithe” means 10% of an individual’s personal income given back to God, usually, but not necessarily only, through the parish general operating fund.
An “offering” means a gift given to God beyond the tithe, never in place of the tithe nor reducing the tithe in any way.
“Moving toward tithing” involves a personal commitment to a definite plan to achieve tithing over time with God’s help.

Everyone is at a different place financially and we ask that you support the mission in anyway you can. This may not be monetarily, as many of us have other resources we give such as skills and time.

More information on tithing can be found at the Archdiocesan website  www.antiochian.org
